Boyce Avenue; it's quite possible that they are the greatest cover artists out there right now. The first cover that caught my attention was
Grenade, originally by
Bruno Mars. I like the original, don't get me wrong, but the way
Boyce Avenue sings it is so raw.
Boyce Avenue slowed down the song and even though he didn't write the lyrics it seems like each word is killing him; it's so much passion, it's intoxicating. In this cover, the violins are very prominent and I love the sound of strings. The first time I heard this cover his voice actually left me speechless, it was so amazing.
